Communications, Engagement and Outreach Manager

The Communications, Engagement and Outreach Manager will be responsible in managing all communications, engagement and outreach in support of Landcare in the ACT. They will report to, and work closely with, the CEO, other staff, and diverse stakeholders to coordinate a variety of Landcare ACT programs and projects of various sizes, including the Community Stewardship and Environmental Education Program and the Upper Murrumbidgee WaterWatch Program. The selected individual will be able to confidently deliver on communications deliverables to effectively share our story, as well as creatively engage diverse communities through outreach. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, experience in outreach (preferably in the environment space), strong communications and social media skills, a passion for community engagement, and the ability to share stories in a positive and uplifting light. They will lead the communications, outreach, engagement and impact team.

Landcare ACT brings people together to care for the landscapes of the ACT. We are a member-based, not-for-profit organisation that supports and promotes community participation in the sustainable management of land, water and biodiversity, helping people build meaningful connections with nature and each other. We represent and support our members, community groups, volunteers, landholders and local organisations who care for rural lands, urban green spaces, nature reserves and waterways. Working alongside Traditional Custodians, government agencies and other partners, we foster collaboration, environmental stewardship and community action to create healthy, resilient landscapes for current and future generations.
