ACT Environmental Volunteers Conference 2025

You’re invited to the 2025 ACT Environmental Volunteers Conference, a two-day gathering on Ngunawal Country hosted by the ACT Government and community Landcare this August!

Join us for inspiring field trips co-led by volunteer peers and experts to sites across the ACT on Friday, 8 August, followed by a day of interesting talks, workshops, and networking on Saturday, 9 August at the Ann Harding Conference Centre, University of Canberra, Bruce.

This year’s theme, Regeneration, embraces the many ways we renew and restore our environment, communities, and connections. The conference will explore a wide range of environmental volunteering topics: from regenerating ecosystems and restoring soil health, to strengthening volunteers’ connection to Country and revitalising the ACT’s volunteer base.

This empowering event will bring together volunteers, community organisations, experts, and policymakers to share knowledge, stories, and ideas. Whether you advocate for, support, or simply love our incredible local ecosystems, this conference is for you.

Exciting updates on program details and field trip information are coming soon. Stay tuned!

Field Trips

On Friday, 8 August, join us for a day of guided educational field trips across the Canberra region. Choose from a selection of eight different trips, with the option to visit two sites (one in the morning and one in the afternoon), or just attend a single trip during the day.

Travel by bus to explore some truly special places, meet inspiring volunteers, and see environmental regeneration in action. Field trip details and site options to be released soon!

Call for Posters - Community Hub

As part of this year’s conference, we’re excited to feature a Community Hub showcasing posters and information from volunteer groups and supporting organisations across the ACT region.

We’d love your environmental group to share its knowledge and experiences with the community by submitting a poster to be displayed at the Conference.

Delivered with assistance from the ACT Government.
