Weeds Forum 2021:Overview, videos and presentations

Landcarers in the ACT make a significant contribution to weeds control in our environment.

Landcare ACT is committed to generating discussion, ideas and solutions regarding the management of weeds in our urban, park and rural landscapes. Our Weeds Working Group provide advice, direction and solutions for managing this wicked problem.

Over 80 Landcarers, landowners, government staff, researchers and interested community members attended the Landcare ACT’s Weeds Forum held online on Wednesday, 3 November 2021.

Organised by the Weeds Working Group, the event provided an opportunity for community Landcarers to hear from decision-makers, experts and weeds warriors on the current weeds management strategies in the ACT and across the broader.

The Forum also allowed the sharing of perspectives and collaborative discussions around challenges and opportunities.

The ideas collected from the Forum will help to inform and shape Landcare ACT Community Views on Weeds paper, which will be released next year.

The Weeds Forum is part of the Smart Farms Small Grants 2 program currently being delivered by Landcare ACT funded through the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program.
