Who and what you can nominate

You can nominate people or groups working in landcare, conservation and sustainability in the ACT.

Award categories include:

  • • Individual Landcarer
    • Community Partnerships
    • Sustainable Agriculture
    • Innovation
    • First Nations Landcare Collaboration
    • Women in Landcare
    • Junior Landcare
    • NextGen (ages 18 to 35)

You may submit nominations in more than one category.

What you will need before you start

To complete a nomination, have the following ready:

  • • Details about the nominee and their work
    • Written responses of up to 500 words per question
    • Contact details for two referees who know the nominee’s work
    • At least two high resolution photos
    • Landscape orientation
    • At least 1MB each
    • Photos featuring people are preferred
    • Optional video content if available

What the nomination form will ask

The nomination form focuses on:

  • • Who the nominee is and what they do
    • Why they deserve the award
    • Specific examples of their environmental impact
    • How they have involved or supported their community

You do not need polished or technical language – and it’s not cheating if you use AI (just make sure you fact-check). Write honestly, be specific, and share real examples.

How to nominate

Step 1: Go to the nominations portal and select ACT as your region.

Step 2: Choose the award category that best fits your nominee.

Step 3: Complete the nomination form.

Step 4: Add your two referees.

Step 5: Upload your photos and any supporting material.

Step 6: Review and submit.
