Celebrate National Ag Day with Your Lens:
Enter the Photo Competition
National Agriculture Day is fast approaching on November 21, and this year we’re celebrating with a photo competition that highlights the hardworking farmers of the ACT and the land they care for. ACT Rural Landholders Association of Farmers and Landcare ACT have teamed up to celebrate the National Farmers’ Federation’s 2025 Ag Day theme: Stand with the Land. This year’s photo competition is to address the theme: ‘Grow You Good Thing’ celebrating the passion, innovation, and resilience of ACT farmers.
We’re calling on photographers of all ages and skill levels to capture the essence of agriculture and land caring in the ACT. Whether you’re using a phone or a professional camera, this is your chance to showcase the beauty, strength, and spirit of farming in our region.
Choose from three submission categories:
- Farming Activities / Families on the Land
- Farm Produce
- Farm Landscapes / Landcare / Sustainability
A panel of judges will select first, second, and third place winners in each category and age group to be announced on National Agriculture Day. Thanks to our generous sponsors, all nine winners will receive certificates, and the three first-place winners will also receive gift vouchers. Winners will be announced on National Agriculture Day — November 21, 2025, with certificates and prizes presented just before breakfast.
All entries will be displayed at Tharwa Hall from 9 AM to 5 PM on National Ag Day (Friday November 21) and again from 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturday and Sunday. The Hall key will be available from the Tharwa shop.
Entries close at 11:00 PM on November 16, 2025, so don’t miss your chance to be part of this inspiring celebration. Grab your camera, head out to the paddocks, and help us stand with the land by celebrating those who grow good things.
