Get ready to celebrate National Agriculture Day with a photo competition that puts the spotlight on ACT farmers and the land they care for!
ACT Rural Landholders Association and Landcare ACT have joined forces to honour the National Farmers’ Federation Ag Day theme: Stand with the Land. This year’s photo competition theme is Grow You Good Thing — a celebration of the passion, innovation, and perseverance of ACT farmers who work year-round to produce food and fibre while nurturing nature.

We’re calling on photographers of all ages and skill levels to capture the essence of agriculture in the ACT. Your photo should reflect the 2025 Ag Day theme and showcase the beauty, strength, and spirit of farming in the ACT region.

Photo Submission Categories:

• Farming activities, families on the land

• Farm Produce

• Farm landscapes, land care, sustainability

Closing date for entries is Sunday 16th November at 11PM. A ceremony for presentation of Certificates and awarding of Prizes will be held at the Tharwa Hall on National Agriculture Day 21st November 2025 from 7:30 – 9:00am.

Judging for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each age group will be by our Panel. All place getters will receive a certificate and gift voucher prize courtesy of our sponsors.

Prints of the photographs at A3 size will be made for the Photographic Competition Exhibition, which will be open to the public in the Tharwa Hall from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd November.
