Upcoming prescribed burns

To get ready for fire season, the Parks and Conservation Service Fire team undertakes prescribed burns each year.
These operations take place in both urban and rural areas across Canberra and the Googong Foreshore.

People in the area may notice smoke during these burns. This is expected and forms part of normal fire management activities. Smoke from prescribed burns can affect people with asthma or other breathing conditions. Find out more about the health impacts of outdoor smoke.

The community is asked not to call emergency triple zero 000 unless there is an unattended fire or immediate danger.
