Notice of directorate name and structural change

On 1 July 2025, the ACT Government established the City and Environment Directorate (CED). This change, part of broader machinery of government reforms, brings together several key areas under one structure.

CED now integrates the areas previously managed by the Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate (EPSDD) and the Transport Canberra and City Services Directorate (TCCS). Access Canberra is also included in the new directorate.

While the executive leadership team continues to take shape, Mr. Dave Peffer has been appointed as the Director-General of CED. Under his leadership, the directorate will focus on enhancing services for the Canberra community and advancing the Government’s strategic priorities.

These changes include contact points, email addresses, and website.
