Landcare ACT (LACT) is the Territory’s peak non-government organisation for landcare, the stewardship of the land by the people. LACT is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee and represents the ACT on the National Landcare Network (NLN)
The 2017 LACT workshop for Territory farmers, rural land-holders, land managers and community members considered land use at the urban-rural interface. Based on workshop findings, this position statement has been prepared by the LACT Board.

On 2 June, Mick Gentleman MLA announced that the ACT Government’s 2018-19 Budget will provide funding of $352,000 over one year to support the three Landcare catchment groups to continue to undertake catchment management in the ACT.
